I have just installed parallels and Sharpcap pro on my imac pro.
Sharpcap sees two webcam type cameras BUT not does not see the ZWO ASI 294 MC PRO plugged into a separate usb 3 port .
The camera is seen by TheSkyX running on osx which can connect ok.
|I need to run parallels as I need to run TheSkyX to control the telescope and hopefully Sharpcap at the same time.
Any help would be appreciated.

Re: ZWO ASI 294MC PRO
Hi,
lots of people have seen the same problem with Parallels - the cameras often show up but the USB virtualization doesn't seem to be up to the job of delivering image data. If there is a version of VMWare for the mac it may be worth testing (I can get a lot of camereas working under VMWare on windows). Basically the way to go is to use boot camp to have a completely separate raw windows install.
cheers,
Robin

Re: ZWO ASI 294MC PRO
i have been using parallels, sharpcap, and zwo 290 and 224 camera for a while. I occasionally have this issue, but can always get it to work.
-make sure parallels tool box is installed
-make sure windows drivers are installed
-when you plug in camera, a window should appear asking whether too hook it to Mac or Windows
-restart windows (right click on windows) icon and choose "actions". For whatever reason, this seems to always fix the issue.
