Presumably the model training data would have included content from forums such as CloudyNights where there is a good deal of informed discussion on image processing, allowing the knowledge to become embedded in the AI...

After much experimentation, I settled for this version. Rendered with CLAHE, the image has a 'light touch' for saturation and sharpening. Scaled down to 30% for the forum.

Makes me wonder if the surface of the Sea of Tranquility felt different for Apollo 11 astronauts than for teams at other landing sites? I wonder if they compared notes.
