Since a lot of people will never use Gamma in a capture program, and will want no boost and no cut most / all of the time (set on 1 in SharpCap), and a lot of what you'd do with Gamma in capture would be better done with curves in post (can't easily undo gamma changes that are baked in), ....
.....it would be good to be able to turn it off, so it's on 1, and can't be moved by bumping the slider with mouse (until you put it on manual again).
Easy to way to do this, GUI wise, would be to add it as a third-option into the Gamma Auto On indicator you added. White for manual, can be adjusted, color for Auto on, mono color but diagonal stripes for locked on 1. Or just a number 1 for locked on 1.

Re: Be able to disable GAMMA
Hi,
what cameras are you using? ZWO removed gamma from their cameras for this very reason a long time ago, but some manufacturers still offer it (sometimes it is only available in RGB mode and not in RAW mode)
cheers,
Robin

Re: Be able to disable GAMMA
Hi,
something a bit odd going on - PlayerOne doesn't even have a way to adjust the gamma in their SDK - SharpCap will never show gamma for a Player One camera that is being controlled via the SDK. ZWO does have gamma in the SDK, but it is legacy - modern versions of the SDK report that it is not available, so SharpCap will similarly not ever show gamma for a ZWO camera being controlled by the SDK.
If you are using QHY cameras you may still see a gamma, as they support it. ToupTek manufactured cameras also show it under some circumstances (not in raw mode I think).
If you have opened the camera via DirectShow (webcam) drivers rather than SharpCap's direct support then you may see gamma adjustments as that is part of the standard set of webcam controls. Using an astronomy camera via the webcam driver is only a last resort fallback - SharpCap will warn you not do do it if you try it (although it is possible to disable the warning).
cheers,
Robin
