Re: Warning about renaming target

Hi,

it might well make sense to take anything you have entered in the first window into the second - I must admit that I wasn't expecting that use case really - the two buttons for 'Deep Sky' and 'Solar System' are largely there as an aid to people who might not know that those tools existed. So, I was expecting if someone goes into Start Capture and then decides to go to 'Deep Sky' it would be the first thing they would do.

cheers,

Thanks again for response. I think I’m not being clear enough so you are probably missing my point. It doesn’t matter whether you put the target name into the main screen target box or the box at the top of the capture dropdown, both revert to the name already in or left behind from a previous occasion in the sequence planner box target name box on the sequence drop down from the main menu. So if I put a new target in the main window it transfers automatically to the capture box so it looks as if it is keeping the new chosen correct name, alternately you can put the target name directly into the capture drop down box target and it obviously then says what you want. If you only want simple capture the name remains as installed from either position but if you go to deep sky capture and set a sequence the name changes to whatever is in the sequence planner main windows drop down. I can obviously change it now that you have explained how to change it. It just seems a shame that the written title in the capture window doesn’t hold good for the sequence that you set from the same window. Have a good evening and thanks again. I hope I have made that clear. I can obviously work with it as it is and am yet to try the automated stacking capture programme. Take care and thanks again. Jeff
