issue with camera general setting and touptek

#1

Post by Opmc73 »

Hi Robin,

it seems to me that when we activate the option for Touptek in camera settings to allow manual control of conversion gain via read mode , the histogram helper does not use the correct sensor analysis , in my example (I have a 2600M) I was set on LCG and it was using HCG sensor data or something else (maybe the ATR585M I was using before). It did not take the 2600M 16 bit low level noise I was expected. Disabling the option in camera setting and restarting SC did the job and I got then the correct sensor analysis. I have already seen that behaviour in SC 4.1

Kind regards
Olivier

Hi Olivier,

have you done a sensor analysis of the camera in each of the two manual modes - LCG and HCG? I don't think SharpCap includes the analysis data for the manual config in the installation, so those would need to be done to have valid data to work with. SharpCap will first try to load the sensor data with the specific read mode, and then if that is missing fall back to the sensor data without specifying read mode (on some cameras, the 'read mode' doesn't affect the sensor, so this approach can be valid).

cheers,

Robin

Yes but this is something I already observed in V4.1 one or 2 time when I was testing the HCG. Once I return to LCG it was keeping the HCG sensor analysis in memory. I had to quit and restart to reload the correct sensor analysis related to the selected mode.

But in any case I don't use anymore those manual setup of camera, just because for any reason it was still activated in one of my session , unti I realize that , I was not understanding why it was proposing me gain and blacklevel the double as normal ;)
