When taking an exposure using the Sequencer, a notification pops up just below the tool bar, saying something like...
"300s exposure in progress"
Now, if you are monitoring progress, it can be difficult to know how far your sequence has progressed. I think it would be really helpful to make the aforementioned notification a little more expansive. Something like:
"Exposure in progress (target_name, filter_name)"
Regards
Dave
PS. The sequencer console window has lots of commands in it, so usually has to be scrolled to find the answer. The camera controls will be frozen, so may not help. However, the notification bar is always visible, so why not make more use if it?
More detailed notifications - exposing a still frame

Re: More detailed notifications - exposing a still frame
Hi,
in this case, the 'exposure in progress' notification is coming from another part of SharpCap - basically the part that captures frames, so you get the same generic notification that comes whenever a notification is started. Making that part of the code 'aware' of the sequencer is probably not a good thing to do - normally in software you want complex things like the sequencer to depend on and use simpler things and try to avoid having dependencies/usage in the other direction.
What you can do is put your own notifications in the sequence (there is a step for that), although those will be overwritten by 'exposure started' notifications as only one notification gets shown as a time (but there is a notification history window that you can get to from the 'View' menu that should work if you open it before running the sequencer).
cheers,
Robin
