Re: ZWO ASI 2600MC Air
Hi,
I don't have access to this camera, but as I understand it, the camera makes itself available on the network as an Alpaca device (maybe only if some option on the camera settings is enabled - not sure about this).
SharpCap will automatically detect Alpaca devices on the same network (recent versions of SharpCap - get a new version from our downloads page if yours is older than a few months). So, as long as your camera is on the same network as your PC, you should find the camera listed near the bottom of the ASCOM cameras section of the devices menu.
cheers,
Robin

Re: ZWO ASI 2600MC Air
Hi Steffen,
sorry, no direct info on this, although I can see from my usage analytics that some people seem to be using the software with various ASI Air camera models (via the Alpaca driver).
There will be two main issues with using the camera in this way...
1) It's basically like using a camera via ASCOM - you get far less control over the settings of the camera - just the major settings like exposure, gain, ROI will be available
2) Anything wireless can be subject to connection glitches at times, which will impact reliability. I would hope that the Alpaca connection library provided by ASCOM and used by SharpCap would retry in the event of a connectivity failure to a previously working device, but I don't know that for sure.
cheers,
Robin
