Sequencer steps

#1

Post by Gfischer »

Robin,
I use an equatorial platform with a dob. I get great livestack images within the 45min travel of my platform. I tried to pause stack then reset platform and put object in same position so I can resume livestack and keep adding data. The problem I run into is I change camera parameters from 30 sec for imaging to 1 sec for finding object. This causes stack to clear is there any way to do this?

Thanks for any info

Robin,
I was just thinking when I change the frame exposure I’m switching to a different camera profile. Maybe if I just changed camera frame exposure inside of sequence after pausing livestack the stack wouldn’t clear?

Hi,

I expect that the stack is clearing because something other than the exposure is being changed as part of the change to the 'finding' profile. Changing exposure/gain/etc will not clear the stack, but changing binning, Capture Area/ROI, bit depth, etc will. If you have a look in the manage capture profiles window, you can see the settings for each saved profile and have a look to see what else is different between your imaging and finding profiles.

cheers,

Robin
