Flat saved in monochrome?

Why would i save my flats in monochrome?

Should I tick this box or not?

Usually best to say yes - if you are using a colour camera and you do *not* choose to make the flat monochrome then you will find that the flat has a tendency to colour balance the frame for you, which can actually cause more problems than it solves.
