Results Folder?

When I record the for instance the Sun, the results go into a folder: Sharpcap Captures/<Date>/<Sun>. If I take a number of capture videos, the results all go into the <Sun> folder as a series of <time>,<settings> entries, for example: '143029', 'Settings1'; '143115', Settings2', etc. If I then process the images, for example in AutoStakkert, the processed results go into a new folder created in the <Sun> folder, eg <AS_P50>. This can get really confusing when trying to relate the processed image to its data when you have a lot of results folders in the <Sun> folder. To avoid this I end up initially creating sub folders <143029>, <143115>, etc, and moving the data and settings files into the respective sub folders. I've not found a way of doing this by default in the settings. What would be really useful (and save a lot of time) would be if rather than just putting all the captures into the <date><Sun> folder, it created a <Sun> sub folder with the name <capture time> (eg 143029) for every capture and put everything related to that capture (video, settings, etc) into that folder. When you select a video file for processing it would then automatically put the results back in the same folder. Apologies if I have missed something in settings that would do this.

Hi,

you can customize the file naming to do this sort of thing, but you need to use the option to manually edit the filename templates which gives you much more control over how the folder/file names are created. Probably best to get as close as you can using the various tick boxes at the top, then tick the box to manually edit the templates and make changes required into the 'Single File(Video)' template.

Sorry for the late reply. I've changed the Single File (Video) to {Date:S}\{TargetName}\{Time}\{Time}. This seems to have done the trick. I now get the video and settings file in one folder.
