Hello Robin,
It was fast infinite loop in the Cloudflare verification.
Only after trying "1000" times, that it finally accepted me as human !!
I did no change in my system.

Re: Very annoying Cloudflare
Hi Jean-Francois,
if something plays up like that, remove the '&sid=blahblahblahwithnumbers' parameter from the URL and you should be able to login/access without cloudflare interfering (at least with the current settings). When we were being hit by the denial of service attacks earlier in the year, one of the key features of the attack was including the 'sid' parameter, which forces the forum server to do more work to serve the request, so I focused the cloudflare onto requests that contain that parameter.
If you are logged in, you should rarely see a sid parameter in the URL - it's something largely used for non-logged-in users to get a certain degree of customization / memory of what they have seen/done before.
cheers,
Robin

Re: Very annoying Cloudflare
Hi,
yes, it looks like cloudflare is back and therefore we are online again. In theory I could have altered the master DNS records to bypass cloudflare, but DNS changes take time to propagate, typically several hours, so unless there was a very extended outage it's not really worth the bother...
cheers,
Robin

Robin
Whenever I did changes such as mail server migrations, I set the DNS Time To Live (TTL) down to substantially less than the defaults to enforce the change to propogate.

Re: Very annoying Cloudflare
Hi Dave,
yes, I've done that in the past too. Sadly if you are thinking in terms of a response to an outage like the Cloudflare one then you have no option to plan ahead and adjust the TTL down, you would have to leave it really low all the time
Cloudflare themselves have a bypass mode if I recall correctly, which might have been OK, but the admin portal was down too...
cheers,
Robin
