Only a suggestion, not a bug report
I have been using SharpCap for solar imaging. Today upgraded to PRO version. I find it hard to locate the slider "knobs" for Exposure, Gain, Gamma, and such slider controls. Can these "knobs" of sliders be made more visible, especially for use in bright ambient light conditions? Just a request.
Thank you
Prasad

Hello Prasad,
I use SharpCap for day and night imaging ... so I have the "day" mode for the sun observation and the "night" mode for the stars observation.
You can change between day or night modes with F12.
If that not help ... then you can use the "Increase contrast of slider position indicators" from the "Display" setting in "SharpCap Settings" menu.

Hi Prasad
This issue is solved in the soon to come new version of SharpCap, version 4.1. It's in the beta phase now and it has an option to get a solid orange color.
This is what Jean-Francois is describing.
You can either wait for its release (release date is unknown though) or you can use the beta version which you can download here: https://www.sharpcap.co.uk/sharpcap/sha ... p-4-1-beta
You can install it and have both the current 4.0 version and 4.1 Beta without any problems. Just make sure you install them in the directories that the installer is giving.

Menno, Jean-Francois,
Thanks. It works now with the beta version. I am glad to see that the beta version does not delete the previous version. I can use either one now.

Sadly, it has gone back to what it was. It is hard to see the sliders during the day or at night. Please, can they be restored to how it was on V4.1?
Thanks
Prasad
Thanks

Hi Prasad,
you just need to make sure that this box in the settings is ticked. You can see that with it ticked the slider just below has a solid yellow gripper
cheers,
Robin

Wow! That works. I still run into a difficulty. When I place the mouse pointer on the slider, its color vanishes. Is there a way to prevent it? I use SharpCap in bright sunlight and find it difficult to use it when I can't see the slider clearly.
Thanks

Hi Prasad,
yes, that's possible - needs a little change on my side to do that... Watch out for the next update

Robin,
Thank you so much in advance. SharpCap is wonderful, and I enjoy using it entirely for solar imaging.
Best,
Prasad

Hi Robin
I want to thank you for one important (to me) change that you made. The slider position indicator does not change its color when I move the mouse pointer over it. This is of tremendous help to me when I am out in bright sunlight.
