File Name for Minutes

#1

Post by donboy »

Hi Robin,'

Just noticed that the file naming for quick pick exposures that are listed as minutes and the exposure is in seconds is written in the file name using the quick pick designation. So a a120sec exposure is not written as 120s but 2m0s and 300sec is written as 3m0s, etc. But the exposures that are listed in quick picks as 90sec, 60sec, 45sec, etc. get written in the file names just as they are in the exposure setting.

Regards,

Don

Hi Don,

yes, that makes sense - there are rules for how exposures get formatted in filenames so that they read nicely when you look at the file name - short exposures might be 123.4ms, while longer ones will be 45s or 3m0s.

In particular, any exposure of 120s or more gets formatted as minutes and seconds in the filename. This is slightly different to the way that the times are formatted in the quick picks dropdown, where it only shows minutes from 2 minutes upwards.

Perhaps I could change the filenames to only show minutes if there are no spare seconds, but I don't think it's really worth changing either, to be honest.

cheers,

Robin
