Add "Stop frame" to restart a frame on long exposure modes

#1

Post by cyrille.de.brebisson »

Hello,

Would it be possible to add a "stop" button in the camera controls to stop the capture process on long exposure frames?

At the moment, if/when I move the scope between 2 objects and I was set on 5mn for example, then I have to either wait after the move for 1 frame to complete (the frame where the scope moved), or change the time exposure to "short" and then back to "5mn" to "not have to wait"...

Hence my request.
Thanks again for SC!

Hi Cyrille,

I'd have to work out where the button would go without stealing too much space from other things. In the meantime, the easy workaround is to press F1 then F2. F1 is the shortcut key to reduce exposure, F2 increases by the same fraction, so will put the exposure back where it started (to within rounding errors). Pretty much all cameras are set up in SharpCap so that they will stop a current frame and restart on the exposure being changed, so that should do the trick.

cheers,

Robin

Hello,

Thanks, I did not spot the shortcut, but it will definitely help!

Have a great day,
Cyrille
