Hi
Not sure what I've done wrong. My colour space only shows RGB24 and has a resolution of up to 960x640.
It worked this morning while I did sensor analyses. Things work fine in N.I.N.A. and Eosbackyard.
It's in bulb mode and all internal enhancements is turned off.
I have uninstalled the ASCOM DSLR driver and Sharpcap, and reset the camera's native settings. Tried a different UBS cable—still the same issue.
Any ideas welcomed.

Canon 6d colour space & resolution issue
Re: Canon 6d colour space & resolution issue

N.I.N.A. is working fine with the ASCOM driver.

Re: Canon 6d colour space & resolution issue
Searched the web and SC forums. But don't see the issue anywhere else.
Still no luck with connecting full resolution in RAW colour spaces. Stumped really. Doing all as I remember. The EOS utility closed. Nothing else connected. It connects as normal but will not allow colour space adjustment to raw anything. Only RGB24 and low resolution. running at 6 frames a second? Different cables and USB ports. Unfortunately, only one PC is available.
The last thing to try is uninstalling SharpCap and removing all registry entries to see if that fixes it.
If anyone has an idea, please, I'll try it.

Re: Canon 6d colour space & resolution issue
Sharpcap locked the ASCOM driver setting to liveview mode. Regardless of whether I changed this. So I turned the camera off. Then told SharpCap to connect. It then brings up the driver, and I untick LiveView. Then turn the camera on before clicking ok on the driver. Boom, it connects normally.
If I can replicate, I'll update.

Re: Canon 6d colour space & resolution issue
Hi,
as far as I know, the ASCOM driver itself makes the decision on whether to start in live view or still mode, and SharpCap just follows the info reported by the ASCOM driver. If you are in live view, it probably reports the sensor as being RGB and the MaxADU being 255, so you get RGB24.
What options do you have in the 'Read Mode' control in SharpCap? That's the place that there might be a switch between the two modes, although it looks from your screenshot that you are already in 'RAW' mode. Might be worth trying to change from RAW to something else then back, but I am not sure that SharpCap expects to refresh the maximum ADU, etc on readout mode changes.
cheers,
Robin
