shortcut to Plate solve only

are you thinking of a keyboard shortcut - something like CTRL+SHIFT+<Some Key>? That would be fairly simple to add.

Yes if possible a keyboard shortcut: ALT P (Plate) or ALT S (Solve).
Like for ALT D for "Deep Sky Image Annotation"

Hi,

plain 'Alt' shortcuts are really reserved for the menu/toolbar system, so Alt-D works because Deep Sky Annotation is in the toolbar. Since the 'plate solve only' is on the menu, it doesn't get a direct 'Alt' shortcut, but you can activate it with Alt-O followed by S - Alt O opens the tools menu, S selects plate solve only.

Is that sufficient?

Should it be possible to use it in combo with the CTRL key?
Both "Solve Only" and "DSO Annotation" should be easier to type with the CTRL key which is far left on the keyboard and as such easier to reach instead of typing the ALT key.

Where on the toolbar can I find DS Annotation?

just left of the 'Target Name' entry - the icon is a black background with a red crosshair and the start of a 'NGC XXXX' label showing next to the cross hair (at least that's what it's meant to be...)
