Exposure time during platesolve

Hi
I normally use platesolving with great satisfaction and with focal lengths up to 1000mm it recognizes stars already with 1s of exposure.

The exposure time in livestacking is set to 15s.
At the end I do the GOTO to another object and repeat the platesolving which centers the object perfectly in the center.
The problem (but it is not a real problem it is just a nuisance) is that the exposure time is still set to 15s
So
1, I have to wait 15s for the telescope to stop
2. start the platesolving and wait for the next 15s shot
3. the telescope moves
4. I have to wait for it to stop and then another 15s for the image to be still

Now (if I remember at 2 am) I set 1s exposure and start the GOTO and then at the end I set 15s exposure again.
I was wondering if it was possible for the platesolving to lower the exposure time to 1s or 2s exactly as it does during livestacking with the Guiding recenter option active

You sound like you are basically doing the same as I do. I have different profiles set up for platesolve and imaging. Once I finish an imaging run I switch profiles to platesolve then switch back to imaging profiles to start run. This way the exposure gain etc are all set for each job.

this functionality is built into the 'Goto Catalog Target/Co-ordinates' tool ... Choose your target and make sure you tick the boxes to

* 'Reduce exposure and increase gain during movement and plates solving' and
* 'Refine position using plate solve and resync/re-goto'

If you are live stacking at the time there will also be an option that will automatically start a new stack when the new target is reached.

This tool automates the whole process of save/close live stacking, reduce exposure, goto, plate solve, resync, restore exposure, etc, etc.

To move the telescope I use Celestron CPWI in pair with SkymapPro I do not use 'Goto Catalog Target/Co-ordinates' tool

Ah, fair enough...

In that case, you could make a small sequencer script that did what you wanted, then run that script from the 'Sequencer->Run Recent' menu (sequencer files you have used recently show up in there).

This sequence would do the job...

the script worked great.
Tried it 10 minutes ago and it changed the exposure to 1s for plate solving and then went back to the set exposure
