I was updating my dark and bias library and decided to use the sequencer so I could just let it run.
It worked great, letting me take a set of darks, change the camera temperature and/or gain, take another set, and so on.
My issue is that when I looked at the files in the Captures folder there was a Camera Settings.txt file for each image. I don't think I need a 1:1 fits to camera settings. Just one settings file for the entire capture.
There doesn't seem to be an option for that in the sequencer. Am I missing something or did I configure something wrong in the sequencer? If not, could it be possible to add a setting to only save one capture file per capture sequence?
Thanks,
Keith

Re: Sequencer and Camera Settings
Hi Keith,
no, there's no option to reduce the number of capture settings files. In general they can contain useful information on an image by image basis (exact sensor temperature, mount co-ordinates, timings of the image capture, etc), although lots of these aren't really interesting for dark or bias frames.
The best thing to do is just delete them after capture if you really want to clean them up - if you sort the folder contents by file type then it is easy to quickly select all the capture settings files to delete them.
cheers,
Robin
