Setting camera read mode in a sequence
My QHY600 has several different read modes that may be used depending on the target type. Is there a way of setting or changing the read mode during a sequence, or do I have to have the camera connected in the desired mode before starting the sequence. Being able to change the read mode would come in handy when shooting calibration frames, or if I am shooting multiple targets in one night.

Re: Setting camera read mode in a sequence
Hi,
two main ways you can do this in the advanced sequence editor...
1) Use 'Capture Profiles' - save one profile for each different set of settings that you want (including read mode, etc), then load the profiles as required - they will set all the controls in one go
2) Use the 'Set <Control Name> to <Control Value>' step in your sequence - this is the 'swiss army knife' way to set any camera control that isn't handled by the more specialist steps like setting gain or exposure. You get to choose which control to adjust in a dropdown and then choose from the possible values (as long is the camera is open while editing the sequence).
cheers,
Robin
