Hi
I have been having a lot of fun with Live Planetary Stacking over the last few days. On my only colour camera, however, it is currently shown as a greyed out option (i.e. I cannot use it).
I am sure that there must be something that I am doing wrong. Could you please advise (It is an Altair Planetary camera, my mono Zwo cameras are fine).
Many thanks for your help,
Paul

Re: Planetary Stacking Greyed Out
Hi Paul,
I think that the most likely thing is that you have a somewhat out-of-date version of SharpCap *and* you are using your Altair camera in RGB mode rather than raw mode.
At one point I had to block planetary stacking in RGB mode because of an issue that caused a crash, so for a few versions you couldn't use it in RGB mode (actually RGB24 I think - RGB32 was OK). Anwyay, after a couple of weeks I fixed it properly and now you can access it again in RGB modes, but it's always best to run the colour camera in RAW8 mode for planetary imaging anyway.
So, either update SharpCap or switch to RAW8 mode, or preferably both and you should be OK.
thanks,
Robin
