I have read the manual section on Dithering several times over and still have some questions...
Background I use SC as the Goto source and PHD2 (ASCOM) for guiding. I do not do ST2 or whatever that crazy port is.
1) Do I turn on dithering in PHD2
2) Do I turn on dithering in SC which then tells PHD2 to dither without my need to turn on dithering in PHD2.
Thank you for your time and consideration.

Re: Dithering SC while PHD2 Active
Hi,
basically it's option 2 - SharpCap needs to control the dithering so that it can ensure that the dithering happens between frames rather than in the middle of one. Once the dithering is turned on in SharpCap, it will send requests to tell PHD2 to actually carry out the dither operation at the relevant times.
I don't think there is a 'dither on/off' control in PHD2, but there are some settings that affect *how* the dither works - are they random or not, etc.
cheers,
Robin
