Had my 5" Newt for 20 years or so. Just bought this little SvBONY SV105 eCamera and am just getting First Light with it.
This the first time I've tried to do any astrophotog.
Will I need a tracking mount to do any kind of stacking? How many captures can it do before precession is too much to stack them? I'm mostly going to concentrate on planets for now, so I think I don't need a lot.

Re: Stacking without a tracking mount
Hi,
the challenge will be that with a non-tracking mount, the target will move across the small field of view of a camera like the SV105 really quite quickly. You can try to track by moving the mount manually to keep it in view, but I suspect that will prove to be really rather difficult - maybe it is something you can become better at with practice?
cheers,
Robin
