I want to control my ZWO AM 5 mount with SharpCap. I've installed the latest versions of ASCOM, the AM5 ASCOM driver, and SarpCap. I can connect to the mount both by wifi and cable, but the slewing arrows on SharpCap will not move the mount. The goto function works, but not the arrows.
Any suggestions?

Re: Controlling ZWO AM5
Hi,
if you are not getting any errors, but the mount seems to not be moving, the first thing to check is the movement rate that is selected (the rate selection control is to the right of the 'up' movement button). The default speed depends on the mount ASCOM driver, but it may be 'sidereal tracking rate' - showing as '1x', which is pretty slow. You can change to faster speeds like 16x sidereal, or up to the highest speeds which are shown in degrees per second.
thanks
Robin

Re: Controlling ZWO AM5
You are exactly correct. I changed it to 2deg/sec and it moved nicely.
Thanks!
