SVBony SV305M Pro doesn't work?????

Hi! I have a problem with my SV305M Pro camera.
It seems to be recognized as a digital camera like Canon or Nikon. I can't see the image with Sharpcap but with AstroDMx it works fine. So I take the time to disconnect it with the function on AstroDMx.

When I plug it into Sharpcap here is the text I read:

Your camera is in 'STILL' mode.
Capture and save images using'start Capture' 'Quick Capture' or 'Snapshot'.
Capture an image without saving using 'Framing Shot' Switch to 'Live Video' Mode by pressing 'Live View' Buttom!

It doesn't make sense an astronomical camera doesn't have 'Live View'?????????

Hi,

the camera does have live view, but SharpCap is in 'Still' mode (perhaps it was in that mode for the camera that you used previously). The live/still mode thing is something that SharpCap remembers from one session to the next, so if you previously closed SharpCap in still mode, it restarts the next time in still mode.

Anyway, all you need to do is hit the 'Live View' button just below the 'File' menu to toggle between live and still mode.

Actually I have to use Snapshot or quickshot but I can't use normal mode? Like my SV105 and other which displays the image when connecting.

OK I want to reset the camera and I don't know where is it the reset mode with this camera..

Hi,

hope you have everything working now. Just to confirm, you can reset the values of most camera settings by holding down <CTRL> when opening the camera (this prevents SharpCap from reloading the settings that it may have remembered from the last time you used the camera). This however has no effect on the 'Live View' on/off toggle - you have to use the toolbar button to change between live and still mode (you can do it either before or after you open the camera).
