SharpCap Script Library (one post per script - no discussion)

#1

Post by admin »

This topic is here to help keep track of (and allow others to find) the various scripting based tools that have been created for SharpCap by keen SharpCap users.

There are rules for this thread - please stick to them!

* If you have created a script that you would like to share with others please create a *separate* thread in the scripting sub-forum about your script.
* The first post of your separate thread should contain a description of what your script does and a download link to the latest version
* Edit the first post of the separate thread as needed to change the description and ensure the download link is up to date.
* The rest of that separate thread may contain the usual discussions, update notices, bug reports from users, etc.

* Place one post in *this* thread to announce your script
* Include a title, brief description and a link to the separate thread for your script in that post
* Edit that post as needed if the description needs updating
* Do not post additional entries in this thread for the same script.
* No discussion/questions in this thread - announcements only

* I will maintain post #2 in this thread as a list of titles and links for easy navigation.
* I will remove any incorrect posts from this thread (discussion/etc)

cheers,

Robin

View with centre and corners:

The script shows the centre and the corners of the Live or Still camera image.
viewtopic.php?t=8195

The script can be used from the IronPython console or from the menu.
You can check the focus, the image tilt or the alignment/collimation of the telescope.
Close the script after use for reducing the needed resource.

Show the UCAC4 stars:

The script shows the UCAC4 stars on the image.
viewtopic.php?p=45831#p45831

The script can be used from the IronPython console or from the menu.
You can select a magnitude limit (or range) of the UCAC4 stars.
The stars mark (reference and magnitude) is only visible with the Deep Sky Annotation tool.

Save the position and rotation of the reticules:

The script can save the position and the rotation of the different reticules.
It is possible to save the information for 3 different cameras.
For example for a "finder" small telescope, for the "guider" and for the "science" camera.

The last version is here: viewtopic.php?p=45834#p45834
