Using RealVNC on NUC to control Sharpcap

#1

Post by Ian_kirn »

I have been having issues with controlling Sharpcap through a VNC server. I am using an Intel NUC computer which is connected to an ASI camera, and I am remotely connecting to the NUC via VNC and running sharpcap (through the vnc) on my laptop. The NUC is connected to ethernet and is getting a good signal.

My issue is that the image in the live view does not update. It's almost as if the screen is frozen but it's not because the frames at the bottom left hand corner updates consistently. Is this an issue with sharpcap? an issue with the VNC server? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated

Hi,

try turning off the option to use 'Graphics Card acceleration' in the first page of the SharpCap settings to see if that helps - with the acceleration on, the image update may be happening in a way that doesn't trigger the VNC software to send an update to the client.

cheers,

Robin
