Is PIPP & SERPlayer the choise?

#1

Post by nfoldager »

Sorry for being ignorant. I tried to find PIPP and SERPlayer, but I don't seem to find new versions. Are they outdated?

I use SharpCap and Autostakker.

Now I want to record RAW16 / SER of the Sun and the Moon with my color camera (ZWO ASI585MC).
I would like to use PIPP for debayering before Autostakkert.
Or what can be recommended?

Best regards,
Niels

Hi,

unfortunately the website for those tools was hosted using the old version of Google Sites, which Google eventually switched off, so the site has gone. Please see this post for download links for the latest known versions: viewtopic.php?p=38025

cheers,

Thank you very much, Robin.

I wonder if that means that the tools will not be updated anymore?

Hi,

I expect you are right. However, SERPlayer is on Github, so anyone could fork the code and make a new version if they wanted - https://github.com/cgarry/ser-player

cheers,
