I use dithering with short subs selected during the dither settle time. This works very well but the short subs are getting saved into the "rawframes" directory. This means that for every 100 x 1 minute subs I end up with about 400 extra 2s subs as well in the rawframes folder.
How can I stop these short frames from being saved? Three reasons for this request:
1. is that these are noisy and unwanted
2. they consume the disc space rapidly
3. it takes time to find and delete them
It looks like these dither subs are taken during a stable guiding period as in the short subs the stars are round.
Thanks,
Alan

Re: How do I stop the short dither settle subs from being saved?
Hi Alan,
normally all you need to do is set the raw frames saving option in live stacking to 'Save except when paused/dithering' - that should stop all of those frames being saved automatically for you. If you have that at 'Save All' then you will get all the frames including the dithering ones. You could also choose 'Save stacked' which only saves frames added to the stack, so again will exclude the dithering ones.
If you already have that set correctly then please make sure you have the latest version of SharpCap 4.1 installed - there have been issues with this in older versions (particularly in 4.0).
If you have the setting correct and area already using the latest 4.1 then I will have to dig further into this!
cheers,
Robin
