Sv305 not working
My Svbony Sv305 camera worked in older versions of Sharpcap but does not work in any of the newer 4.1 versions including the latest release. I would like to use it with the planetary stacking feature. I still have a 3.0 version it works with and I think I saw another post stating a February 2022 release that still worked with it, but none of the versions with planetary stacking work with the Sv305. I hate to have to buy another camera when the camera worked fine with past releases. I would appreciate any information. Thanks in advance, Ken

Re: Sv305 not working
Hi,
the first thing I would suggest is installing the latest version of the SVBony Windows system driver (https://www.svbony.com/support-software-driver/ - select Windows on the left, then the top download is the camera driver). If you have had the camera for some time, you may be using an old version of the driver that isn't compatible with the latest SVBony SDK included in recent versions of SharpCap.
If that doesn't help then it would be good to know if the camera is detected (in 'SVBony Cameras') and doesn't work or if it is not detected at all.
cheers,
Robin

Re: Sv305 not working
It is detected but gives a message saying that only direct show is available. When you choose that method of opening the camera many features of the camera such as raw modes are not available and when you use RGB 24, which is the only choice, the image is monochrome. I have not updated the drivers because I saw where someone else had posted about this and they updated the drivers and it still didn't work. I am reluctant to go downloading a bunch of stuff unless it is necessary, but I guess I will try that though unless someone determines for certain what the fix is and posts it.

Re: Sv305 not working
Hi,
if it is being detected properly then it will show up in the SVBony cameras section as well as the directshow section, like this
If you are not seeing it there then the most likely cause is that the SVBony software is not reporting the camera to SharpCap. It is worth checking the SharpCap log (Help->Show Log) just after startup - if there are any lines in the log that start 'Error' or 'Warning' then please post them here - particularly if they seem to have content that relates to SVBony cameras. Any errors/warnings like that might reveal an issue that can be fixed on my side.
thanks,
Robin
