Hi, Robin

Do you need any more test data? I have some from last week. I'd taken some very careful darks and saved everything. That night I performed virtually no observing, but the second night I had issues, this time with a red hot pixel pattern not green.

I can send you those if you need them, and am observing again tonight, and am capturing a new set of darks, and saving the raw frames.

By "careful", I'm actually capturing them with the telescope in a dark basement. My other darks were captured with the telescope on my pier with the lens cap on. I take them after sundown but in twilight. But I worried about light leaks via the filter drawer or imperfect sealing of the EdgeHD lens cap.

Anyway, let me know if you want more test data.

BTW, Brent reported he had similar problems with his 2600 camera as well. So not limited to 294.

Hi,

did you by any chance use the latest update of SharpCap that allows you to set a hot/cold pixel correction level as well as using a dark frame? My goal with adding that ability was to address the sort of issue in this thread of 'rogue' hot pixels showing up in the light frames that are not in the dark frames. If you weren't updated or weren't using that option then you could try running your light frames through the folder monitor camera with that option turned on to see if it helps.

cheers,

Robin
