The Manual Says:
"A minimum of 3 stars is required for Live Stack with alignment to work. However, for reliability and good alignment a star count of 10-15 or more is to be preferred."
With my small field of view, I at times run into the stacking error message when galaxy hunting in remote areas. My setting box will not allow me to assign a value less than 10.
How do I enter a value less than 10 ??
Celestron 6Se - 6.3 Reducer - Player One Uranus C Camera

Re: Unable to Choose less than 10 Alignment Stars
Hi,
the simple answer is that you don't select less than 10.
The number selected is the maximum number that SharpCap will use - it may use less if fewer than 10 stars are available, in theory working down to 3 stars in some cases.
Once you get below about 10 stars though the reliability may well start to drop off - if a star doesn't get detected in one frame or the position of one comes out incorrectly then that may cause issues with a very small number of stars. When more are available issues with one or two don't matter.
cheers,
Robin
