selecting dark frame accidentally hit x...

#1

Post by FXModels »

I was selecting my really good dark frame for automatic subtraction but hit the large X just to the left of the name. Now it is gone. Is it really gone??!!

I cannot find it now anywhere.. If its gone this seems to be a real problem...

Please help... Its a remote observatory and I did it when I was 2500 miles out there to get it! I looked in the recycle bin and its NOT there...
Thanks,
Marc

Hi Marc,

the frame is not deleted when you hit 'X', just removed from the list of darks shown in the dropdown in SharpCap.

All you need to do is find it on disk, where it will still be in the original location.

If you captured it using SharpCap's dark capture function then have a look in the main 'SharpCap Captures' folder for a 'darks' subfolder. Inside the darks subfolder, you can explore by camera camera, resolution, exposure and finally gain to find previously captured dark frames.

Hope this helps,

Robin
