I can focus a sharp edge of the sun but cannot focus a sunspot on the sun. What is the problem? I have tried everything. I start out with 10ms exposure and adjust focus. I'm using a ZWO camera. what should the camera gain be.
Thanks for any help,
Glen

Glen,
If you have Google Drive or something similar, create a folder and make it public. Upload your image file there, then send us the link to the folder.

Re: 2024 solar eclpise focus
I went out today and i thought it was over exposed so i adjusted the exposure from 10ms to 1.50ms and adjusted the gain from 180 to zero and adjusted the focus on telescope and there was the solar spot. Awesome. So i guess i worked it out.
thanks,
Glen
