Captured 11th May 2022. Processed using the Bilateral filter in waveSharp.
Hardware: Celestron AVX mount, Celestron C8 SCT, IR685 filter, Skyris 618M CCD camera.
Software: SC 4.0, Autostakkert!3, waveSharp 1.0.0 beta.
Capture: 60s @ 120fps (7200 frames), SER, 640x480, MONO8, gain 231, exposure 4.4ms, brightness 0.
Processing: Stack best 50% with Drizzle 1.5, 349 APs size 40. waveSharp bilateral filter, gamma + luminance.
Playback of capture file with SER Player, note histogram around 60% saturation.
Took 50% of frames (as above 50% quality).
Note the minimal sharpening. Bilateral filter, FilterRadius=5, Threshold=500, only slider 1 used, no Denoise applied.
Gamma=1.10 (from 1.00), Luminance=0.530 (from 0.500).
Less is more!

Again very nice Dave --sharp but also remaining realistic looking and not overcooked- The methods you provide serves as a great guide to what to do. I have saved a file with links to your posts as a reminder of settings and to get the waveSharp software
I am away from imaging again for about a month but at least everything in my sets ups is now tried, tested and working well - so I am looking forward to restarting and having a crack at some lunar and planetary. I have a 2.5X Barlow but think that I am going to need some extensions to my Newt to find focus.
