Won't slew to near meridian.

I have always had the problem (5 years). If I slew to anything within an hour of the west side of the meridian I get this error:

Platesolve solves then:

Synctarget() RaDec Sync was rejected.

So I can only image an object till just past transit then I have to move to something else.

Hi,

from the wording of the message ('radec sync was rejected'), I'm fairly sure that it is EQMOD that is stopping the sync from happening here (I've seen that message come from EQMOD before - usually when the sync position is a long way from the current mount position).

I would suggest looking at the RA/Dec values for the plate solve and the mount readings to check that there isn't some large discrepancy. If that looks OK then it may be down to something in the EQMOD configuration stopping you. The best bet for help there is the EQMOD mailing list : https://groups.io/g/EQMOD/messages

cheers,

Robin
