It might be nice to have the ASCOM SideOfPier\
https://ascom-standards.org/Help/Platfo ... OfPier.htm
saved in the FITS headers. It looks like the information is available in python scripting as SharpCap.Mounts.Current.SideOfPier
Thank you for a wonderful program!

Re: PIERSIDE in FITS headers
Hi,
do you happen to know what values other applications use for this? I'd like to be compatible if possilbe.
ASCOM reports 'Normal' and 'ThroughThePole', I convert that into EastSideLookingWest and WestSideLooking East (which is hopefully correct in southern hemisphere as well as northern). However, I suspect other apps may have already set a convention that doesn't match either of those.
cheers,
Robin

I have seen
in data captured by RoboScopes kit located in Spain. No info on the southern hemisphere notation.
