Moravian Camera cannot connect directly
I have a Moravian CMOS camera but it is not showing up as a direct connect camera. It is only showing up as a ASCOM camera. I wanted to know if i needed to install anything special to enable the Moravian to connect directly.

Re: Moravian Camera cannot connect directly
Hi,
the ASCOM option will always appear if the Moravian ASCOM driver is installed (regardless of whether the camera is connected to the PC or properly detected by the PC). The direct connection will detect the camera, so if you are not seeing it the things to check area
* You have the Moravian instruments windows system drivers installed (this should make the camera show correctly in Windows device manager)
* You have an up to date version of SharpCap as newer camera models may only be supported in recent versions of SharpCap 4.1
* You are using a good USB connection with no hubs/extensions for a first test
* The camera is connected to 12V power if it needs it
Hope this helps,
Robin
