If I'm looking at the correct image (right hand window of AS3), all that "1" is indicating is that frame 1 is in the viewer. The processing envelope is shown on the left hand window of AS3.kaymann wrote: ↑Wed Nov 22, 2023 2:33 pm In your original post looking at the frames section above the photo in Autostakkert looking right it indicates 1 frame being processed...
I am not commenting on any of the other procedures as I have a couple of times found myself accidentally working on one frame

Re: Imaging Jupiter
Hi Dave,
Here is another attempt with Jupiter from the other night. The video was 1 minute and 50 seconds with 100 gain. The exposure was .01386. Lots to learn.

Much better than your original image. See how it looks when the moon is not about.

I think you are getting there. I know what you mean about the skies, I had the weather problem the other night in the UK at 53°N. Gave up on the 2x Barlow and ended up with viewtopic.php?t=7217.
Remember for Jupiter:
set gain to 70 (or 80) with a barlow, 60 without
adjust exposure to get the histogram to around 70%
try smaller capture areas
capture multiple SER files to try to hit a steadier patch of atmosphere
On the cloudy nights you can start experimenting with WinJupos

Venus is a good early morning target at the moment viewtopic.php?t=2498. There won't be any detail but the phases can be captured.
