SharpCap adds support for ToupTek and OGMA cameras

Hi folks,

today's update (4.1.11388 - see https://www.sharpcap.co.uk/sharpcap/downloads) adds support for ToupTek and OGMA cameras.

While you have previously been able to use these cameras via the DirectShow or ASCOM drivers, SharpCap now has direct support, which will give improved performance, stability and offer enhanced abilities to adjust camera settings in some cases.

A number of other brands sell cameras manufactured by ToupTek (i.e. Orion Optics, Mallincam, Omegon, etc). Those cameras may work with this version of SharpCap if they are detected by the ToupTek SDK that SharpCap is using - it is certainly worth trying.

Are Omegon cameras recognized with SharpCap like ZWO ASIs?? It is planned to buy the Velox287 camera but no information on this camera.

Hi,

I think they should work under tha ToupTek SDK, so with basically full support. I don't have any myself to test this, but have had reports of success from other users.
