Sharpcap support for eADC from Sunobserver

Post by MikeHuerto »

Hi Robin
I was recently told about an electronically controlled ADC (eADC) from Sunobserver aka Sherizhe in China

It is available in the USA from Hutec for $449 - expensive I know!

I found a thread from 2021 that mentions it on Cloudynights -and asks about Sharpcap support - I don't know if you saw this. it would be great if you could develop functionality in Sharpcap for this!

https://www.cloudynights.com/topic/7981 ... c-support/

This would be a major step forward, at least for me, as I almost always knock the planet off the chip, when adjusting my ZWO ADC by hand.

Best

Hi Mike,

I don't think I have time to take on something like this at the moment, although it does sound interesting! If anyone wants to have a go via scripting, I'd be happy to make the measured R/B offsets available to scripting from SharpCap's ADC tool (this is in line with the polar alignment offset being available to scripting when running polar alignment, which has allowed people to build automatic PA systems using Alt/Az motors...)

cheers,

Robin
