Hi Robin,
See attached NGC7822 screenshot & both log files.
I initially submitted GoTo Catalog Target/Co-ordinates for NGC7822. It was close but not centered. I then called up Deep Sky Annotation, and clicked on Center in View. The result was the blue circle was exactly in the center, yet NGC7822 was above it. I manually slewed NGC7822 down, and the result is the above screenshot. Notice blue circle is “south “ of where it should be.
I previously referred this to you, and you suggested I forward you the logs, see attached.
Here’s hoping you can find a solution.
Thank you,
John

Re: Deep Sky Annotation Location
Hi,
thanks for posting this - I have just had a look at the situation using 'ASCOM Sky Simulator' and can see there is something odd going on in that region. I think it is to do with the RA=0 line running through the frame - on one side of that line objects have co-ordinates line RA=0.01 and on the other RA=23.99. I suspect that the code isn't handling that well, although I'm not sure if that's the only problem. I think I will try to fix any issues related to the RA=0 line and then see if anything still looks dodgy.
cheers,
Robin

Hi,
I think I have fixed it - try updating to 4.1.11137 (you are still using 4.1.11079). https://www.sharpcap.co.uk/sharpcap/downloads
cheers,
Robin

Hi Robin,
I’ve used the new Plate Solve for 3 nights and my initial reaction:
a beautiful update, easy, fast, and accurate.
Almost every request, spot on, dead center!
Makes multi-night imaging much easier.
Congratulations, Robin,
John
