QHY268C Malfunction

Post by PJMahany »

Got error message on connection in SharpCap
____________________________________________________
QHYCCD SDK Error
X Critical Hardware Error Detected (UVLO event)
Please Check if input voltage is under 11v and correct it
{Code 3}
____________________________________________________

Checked QHY power supply 12.26V at camera
used Alternate power 12.3V @ Camera
Cooler started @ 20C and temperature rose to +23C
Display blank or bizarre.

Camera was subjected to high daytime temperature > 100f

To check the computer a QHY168C was connected. QHY168C Camera function is good.

Needs repairs?

Question: How do I attach a log from SharpCap?

Hi,

the message you are seeing comes from the QHY SDK, not SharpCap, so the best thing to do is to contact QHY and send them the same information as you have posted here. I don't think the SharpCap log will help in this situation because the message is coming from QHY.

If you have changed power supplies, USB cables and computers and still get the same then I would suspect that the camera has a hardware fault, but hopefully QHY will know.

cheers,

Robin

Hello,
Just by coincidence I looked into the problem with this QHY268C.I was presented with same message regarding the low voltage with my QHY 600M.
Camera works fine in the range between room temp and 0 C. Cooling down to -5C, so so, but trying -10C. Bad Luck ! Camera starts to warm up and repeating message: low voltage etc. Very annoying I must say. !!
I have a 12V-10 amp. power supply on order. (Not from QHY.) I found one with a very stable output. Fingers crossed.
As soon as I have more information I will report the results on this forum.
Otherwise I am very happy with QHY cams.
Regards, William.
