My SC plate solve is setup to Solve>Sync>Re-Center. Recently I asked for a plate solve from the icon in the mount section of the controlls. The plate was solved, I think. The banner was green so I assumed the plate was solved. But the mount did not Sync, nor did it re-center.
Is it possible that if the solve is close to the requested coordinates, the mount does not re-center?
Plate Solve Question
Re: Plate Solve Question
Hi
Yes, that is possible. In the green banner is a notice then, saying that the difference is less then 0,01 (I believe that's the value) and that a re-sync is not needed.

Re: Plate Solve Question
Hi,
yes, the very small offset causes it to do nothing. The other possibility is that there appears to be an issue with the latest version of the Skywatcher Synscan.app software that means it ignores sync requests, which in turn means that the subsequent GOTO does nothing (since the sync didn't change the co-ordinates). See this thread for more info if you are using Synscan.app : viewtopic.php?p=37953#p37953
cheers,
Robin
