Goto based on plate-solved location of a source image
I realize this would be a convenience thing, but add an option to the Goto Coordinates tool to ingest a provided image, plate solve its location, and go to that location. This would help with returning to a consistent location for a second (or third, or fourth, etc.) imaging session. The first step in this might be to see if the file is a FITS file, see if it has coordinates registered in its header, and if so use those for the Goto, thereby by-passing the plate solve.

Re: Goto based on plate-solved location of a source image
Hi,
have a look at the 'Goto Image' tool which can be found in the Tools menu of recent versions of SharpCap 4.0 - that's exactly what it does. In fact, if you have a camera rotator it will rotate the camera too in order to match the orientation of the chosen image
cheers,
Robin

I knew that would be a useful thing for SharpCap to do
Thanks for the pointer, Robin!
