I am still learning. Forgive me for posting this. Can I do polar alignment when the north is completely blocked? I have a huge tree and I can not see Polaris. Is there a way out for me?
Thanks for any reply

Re: Polar alignment when I can't see polaris
Hi,
you can't use the polar alignment routine built into SharpCap for this, but there are alternatives that can work.
* I believe that NINA has a polar alignment mode that works by measuring the positions of a number of stars away from the pole
* There is a scripting add-in for SharpCap that can do this - see this thread : viewtopic.php?t=2331
thanks,
Robin
