Adding telescope list in Settings

#1

Post by carlomuccini »

Hi

Having several telescopes
it would be useful for SharpCap to save a list of telescope names with the relative focal length to be used in the SharpCap Settings TAB "Saving" and TAB "Plate Solving"

SharpCap Settings
Saving: FITS TELESCOP
Plate Solving: Focal Lenght of Telescope (Use xxx mm)

it would be really helpful

Thanks as always

Hi Carlo,

I quite agree - I need to have a more accessible and usable 'hardware profiles' feature that lets you change between different sets of hardware. Right now the only workable option is to use the command line '/instance' option (via separate shortcuts on the desktop usually) - that lets you have completely separate sets of SharpCap options for this sort of thing. See https://docs.sharpcap.co.uk/4.0/#Comman ... 0Arguments for more info.

The hardware profiles thing is going to be a SharpCap 4.2/4.3/5.0 feature - nothing new going in for 4.1 now except for tiny little tweaks and bug fixes.

cheers,

Robin
