Hi all!
I'm trying to run a sensor analysis on a small, simple guide cam and I tick to "skip binning" tests.
However after uncovering the camera after the dark tests, it changes binning to 2x2 by itself then says "Cannot run analysis - Sensors should be measured without any binning applied" and in red "Changed to 2x2 binning."
Am I doing something wrong or if this a light level issue?

Re: Sensor Analysis "Cannot run analysis"
Hi,
that's odd. Can you let me know what camera you are using and also what version of SharpCap please. If you can find the SharpCap log of the problem happening and can share that too then I will dig through it and see what is going on. It certainly doesn't sound right...
cheers,
Robin

Thanks Robin! Really sorry to bother you and I tried to delete the post but couldn’t. I’ll leave here in case someone else needs to google the same error.
It was an inconsistent light source from the first round of light tests to the second. Even though the tests were good for plots, the dark section took long enough that the sun had set slightly more by the next round of lights and so sharpcap automatically switched to bin2x2 .. I assume to boost the signal? Anyway, I closed the area and started over with a new light source and it ran through fine

Re: Sensor Analysis "Cannot run analysis"
Hi,
OK, no worries. The binning test is to try to work out whether the camera brightens the image when binning or not (some do, some don't). It shouldn't happen if you have unselected it at the beginning, but it sounds like you are all sorted anyway.
cheers,
Robin
