Tried various exposure settings for plate solve with camera set to Bin2 and all failed. Plate solve under Bin1 using the same exposure settings all worked.

Re: Bin2 Plate Solve
Hi Don,
nothing obvious from the log - my first guess was that maybe the field of view was being calculated incorrectly for Bin2, but the log shows that is correct. Do you have a pair of saved frames (a working one at bin1 and a failing one at bin2) that I could experiment with? Something must be upsetting Astap for the later, but not clear what.
cheers,
Robin

Re: Bin2 Plate Solve
Hi,
unfortunately I can only get a medium resolution version of those images out of flickr (2048x1369), and Astap (run with the UI showing) will solve both of them when giving starting co-ordinates of RA=6, Dec=+24
I would suggest that you try the same on your side using ASTAP in UI mode with the original FITS images direct saved from the camera to see if Astap solves one but not the other.
cheers,
Robin

Re: Bin2 Plate Solve
Tried plate solving a bin2 image in ASTAP and it worked fine. So it looks like bin2 not an issue for ASTAP.

Hi Don,
well, I can try the next time I have some clear skies to see if the same happens to me. I have a couple of cameras with the same sensor in, although not the ZWO version.
cheers,
Robin
