It seems that all the steps you mentioned has fixed the issue. I have not seen the issue so far. I also got the pro version so not sure if i just leapfrogged these issues or not. I will keep you posted if it crops up again.
I am also using the 4.1 Beta version (a friend of mine told me to use the 4.1 Beta version for C/2022 E3 ZTF comet). I will open up another thread but it seems that my ASI678MC is not showing color when i am live stacking the comet and hence not able to capture colors when i use "Save Exactly As Seen" option. Is this something you are aware of. It looks like you have a new beta release as of yesterday and i am using the one as of 01/29/2023.
Thanks for all the help.
Regards

Re: How to report a Crash
Hi,
a couple of quick suggestions re. the colour missing issue...
* Check the Colour Space setting is RAW16
* Check the 'Debayer Preview' setting is set to 'On'.
* Also check the saturation slider (right hand most vertical slider on the live stack histogram) has not been moved to the minimum value.
With these set correctly, you should see colour.
cheers,
Robin

Hi,
I wanted to test the new 2CMS readout modes from QHY.
Unfortunately, this directly crashes SharpCap.

Re: How to report a Crash
Hi,
I found the uploaded bug report that you sent - the underlying cause is that the QHY SDK is reporting that read mode '6' gives a resolution of 0 by 0 pixels - this is probably down to a bug in the QHY SDK in the function GetQHYCCDReadModeResolution.
I can make some changes to SharpCap to prevent it from crashing in this case, but you still will not get an image because of the underlying SDK issue with the wrong resolution being reported.
The relevant lines in the log are

Re: How to report a Crash
Hi,
best thing would be to report the information to QHY - they seem to be more responsive to end user reports than to me reporting issues. Hopefully they will issue an SDK update to solve the problem.
cheers,
