ZWO apparently has firmware updates for both the EAF and several cameras (Mine are ASI533MC Pro and ASI290 Mini) is there any need or advantage to completing these firmware updates? Does ignoring the updates affect the utility of SC in interfacing with these cameras?

Hi,
I don't have any information about what might be fixed by the firmware updates, but the usual rule of thumb in this sort of case is not to update unless you are encountering issues (as there is always a chance that the update will have a problem or that the updated firmware might have new bugs in it).
